Petro Sypnyak es nativo de Lviv y pertenece a los artistas ucranianos más famosos de la actualidad. El pintor nació el 29 de enero de 1959 en el pueblo de Lany cerca de la antigua Halych en la región de lvano Frankivsk, y las reminiscencias de los años de la infancia, las impresiones del rico arte popular y la naturaleza pintoresca de Precarpatia, las costumbres y tradiciones primordiales de sus habitantes siguen siendo uno de los fuentes de inspiración creativa para P.Sypniak, quien las reconsidera desde la posición del hombre de la época moderna.

Pero más esencial es la presencia de la idea principal que conecta obras de diferentes géneros y les une el rasgo característico de P.Sypniak: su comprensión del arte como un factor de afirmación de la vida en el que se acumula la experiencia espiritual de la humanidad.

For more than thirty-five years, his multifaceted creative work has been known to viewers of numerous group and solo exhibitions in many cities not only in Ukraine, but also in France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Slovakia or Bulgaria, where the artist’s paintings gained recognition due to the persuasiveness of the figurative interpretation of the idea and the craftsmanship of the formal plastic features of the true execution of the painting.

The painter was born on January 29, 1959 in the village of Lany near ancient Halych in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, and reminiscences of childhood years, impressions of the rich folk art and picturesque nature of Precarpathia, the The primordial customs and traditions of its inhabitants continue to be one of the sources of creative inspiration for P.Sypniak, who reconsiders them from the position of man in modern times.

The great current pictorial work of the artist bears witness to the breadth of his creative concerns, whose external manifestation is also multifaceted: urban and nature-landscapes, thematic and religious-evangelical compositions, portraits, still lifes, acts of women. But more essential is the presence of the main idea that connects works of different genres and unites them with the characteristic feature of P.Sypniak: his understanding of art as a life-affirming factor in which the spiritual experience of humanity is accumulated.
